The portfolio is here!

So. I had a busy and productive weekend: Firstly, I decided how I wanted to implement the portfolio on this site and, secondly, I spent time on Sunday doing just that. The result is there for all to see today:

As I wrote before, it’s important for me that the entire site can also be read on iPad and other iOS devices without me having to maintain a second code base or have other than minimal code to support the devices. So far I’ve achieved this and the only piece of code used to distinguish between iOS devices and other browsers is a small piece of JavaScript that removes the left margin if you’re viewing the site from an iOS device.

To continue in this vein, I chose to implement a CSS/JavaScript solution for the portfolio – another jQuery Tools one, in fact. This time I’m using the jQuery Tools “Scrollable” tool with the addition of the Autoscroll plugin. Once some initial CSS issues had been resolved, this was actually an easy solution to implement. Finding my old project screenshots proved to be more difficult and time-consuming!

The portfolio is now here – and will grow from time to time as new projects are completed. Projects featured are only really from the last 2-3 years in order to keep it up-to-date. There are other, older, projects shown on my “Swiss portfolio” on turrall.ch for those who want to see more. That portfolio also shows website work and a few older Flash jobs, for example.

Meanwhile, back to work on getting some more projects finished off!
